Ana is a second year Earth Sciences DPhil student at Linacre College, having done her undergraduate degree in St. Edmund Hall. Ana started her theatre career through acting since her first year and discovered her passion for backstage roles shortly after. Since then, her theatre credits include: The Winter’s Tale (Producer, Maths Institute, MT17), The Sensational Story of the Splash (Producer & Marketing Manager, Moser Theatre, HT18), Confessions of a Coconut (Producer, BT Studio, HT19), Chicago (Producer, O’Reilly Theatre, MT19), Channel Hoppers (Producer, Simpkins Lee Theatre, HT20), Richard II (Marketing Manager, Virtual, TT20) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Producer, Radio Play, TT20). Aside from producing and marketing, Ana has some directing experience as AD (Let’s Kill Santa, Moser Theatre, MT17), and tech experience as flyer (Merrily We Roll Along, OP, HT20) and lighting assistant (Angels in America, O’Reilly Theatre, HT20). Ana is currently the treasurer of OUDS.
Emma is a second year Fine Art student at St Edmund Hall. Since coming to Oxford, she has taken on a range of backstage roles in Oxford theatre, from directing to production management, and is also the founder/president of the Teddy Hall Drama Society. Recent theatrical credits include: Black Comedy (Director, BT, March 2017), Anna Karenina (Choreographer, Actors Church Theatre, Covent Garden, MT.18), Made in Dagenham (AD, OP, HT.19), You Are Frogs (PM, BT, HT.19), The Last Judgement (Director, Oxford Medieval Mystery Play Cycle, TT.19), Your Little Play (AD, Michael Pilch Studio, TT.19), A View From The Bridge (PM, Michael Pilch Studio, TT.19), Love/Sick (Lighting Designer, Edinburgh Fringe, 2019), Section Two (Producer, BT, MT.19), Chicago (Director, O’Reilly, MT.19), Angels in America (AD/Set Designer, O’Reilly, HT.20) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Co-Director, Radio Play, TT20). Emma is also the OUDS Welfare Officer (2020-2021).
Felix fell in love with theatre at secondary school whilst studying Theatre Studies A level and being involved in many productions as an actor, writer and director. After leaving, he went on to direct his own play, Walls (2018, OSO Theatre London), in the setting of a professional theatre before coming to Oxford to study medicine. In his first year he wrote and directed his college cuppers and acted in several plays whilst co-writing and workshopping a full-length musical. He then worked as the assistant director on Jazz Hands’ production of Chicago (MT19, O’Reilly) before directing his own play, Old Fashioned (HT20, BT). He recently directing A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as his new piece of writing, Dead Air, both as radio plays.
Livi van Warmelo
Livi is a second year Music student at St. Anne’s College. She is one of the founding members of the Anne’s Garden Musical, acting as Musical Director on this year’s production of The Last 5 Years (Anne’s Garden Musical, TT20). Since arriving in Oxford, her theatre credits also include: Synth/Keys 2 in Merrily We Roll Along (OP, HT20); Musical Director for Chicago (O’Reilly, MT19); Violinist for Spring Awakening (OP, MT19); AMD for A Little Night Music (Queen’s Garden Musical, TT19); leading the band in The Sorcerer (CC Auditorium, MT18); leading the band in Bonnie and Clyde (The Pichette, TT19). Outside of Oxford, credits include: MD/Composer for The River’s Song Trilogy (Feral Productions, 2015-18); MD/Composer for 7Airs (Feral Productions, 2017); Composer/Sound Design for Bookworm (Rural Media, 2017); Composer/Sound Design for Dear Sarah (Rural Media, 2013); Composer for One Summer in 1950 (M&M Studios; 2016); Wardrobe/Dresser 2 for Peter Pan (The Courtyard Hereford, 2018).
Max is a second year Maths & Computer Science student at Oriel. He has been interested in both dance and theatre from a young age, with varied experience in both fields in many different styles. Max is trained primarily in classical ballet, but has had significant experience in jazz and contemporary dance and has recently been training intensively for the Oxford University Dancesport team, dancing partnered Ballroom and Latin. Max’s theatrical choreography credits include Choreographer for Chicago (Keble O'Reilly, MT19), Assistant Choreographer for Made in Dagenham (OP, HT19) and Choreographer for Swing Heil! (OFS, 2018), and RENT (St Catz Bernard Sunley, HT20). His theatrical credits include Peter Pan (Peter, OP 2018), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere, 2017), Wind in the Willows (OP, 2016), Alice in Wonderland (OP, 2015) and Lord of the Flies (OP, 2013).
Samuel is a first-year engineer at Somerville, he has worked across theatre, rock and roll and television lighting. Theatrical design credits at Oxford include: Rent (BST HT 2020), Angels in America (Keble O'Rilley HT 2020) and Present Laughter (MPS HT 2020). He has also been part of the lighting crew on events ranging from Cirque du Solei to Crufts Dog Show.
Currently in his first of many years as a DPhil student in Computational Biology at Linacre College, George is delighted to join the Jazz Hands family. Throughout his undergraduate degree at Imperial College London he has been engaged in student theatre both on and off the stage. Through directing and producing, his theatre credits include RENT (2017), School of Rock (2017), Fools Fall in Love (2019) amongst many more. As President of Imperial’s Musical Theatre Society he has overseen countless successful productions, and through his many years on Imperial’s Arts & Entertainments Board has supported projects with over thirty performing arts societies. Now in Oxford, credits include Merrily We Roll Along (ASM, HT20) and Angels In America (Producer, HT20), and looks forward to adding many more credits during his time here.
