You’ve watched Hercules, you’ve seen Hadestown – maybe you’ve even read the Iliad, but how well do you know the characters in the myth? Join us for an epic tale that follows the journey of Persephone, a young goddess of spring, as she tackles love, loss, betrayal and immortality on her journey to becoming Queen of the Underworld.
We’re looking for 9 performers to take part in the development of this new musical. This will include rehearsing the material with the writer and composer as it develops, offering feedback on the production, participating in one or two staged readings performed to an invited audience (this may take place virtually if necessary), and taking part in the recording of a demo album.
Please note that being cast in the workshop doesn’t guarantee you’ll be cast in a full staging of the show if/when we get to that point.
To audition please record videos yourself performing a monologue of your choice (no longer than 1 minute) and a musical theatre song of your choice. These can be on separate recordings or on the same one. Please also let us know in your email what your vocal type is (soprano, alto, tenor, bass etc) and your vocal range if you know it. Please send all of these to by Monday 9th November!
We encourage all to audition regardless of background, previous experience or ability. Any questions or queries, no matter how big or small, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
